Qualcomm demonstrate gigabit download speed rate

Qualcomm and Ericsson cooperated with Telstra, achieving 979Mbps download speed and 129Mbps upload speed with a single terminal on its existing network. It might improve the speed of commercial broadband speed again.
During the demonstration, they used a terminal with a Qualcomm's Snapdragon X16 LTE modem which utilizes LTE-A carrier aggregation, upstream 64-QAM/downstream 256QAM and 44 MIMO technology. They are all advance technology of industry.
Gigabit LTE is a milestone of mobile industry of which download speed is 10 times of the first generation LTE terminal, and 500 times of the early 3G terminal.
Moreover, Telstra has also achieved ground-breaking upstream speed, accelerate 3 times of upload speed of global LTE network.
