May 23, 2018

Singapore operator M1 announced that with the help of Huawei, its Jurong operation centre had conducted the latest 5G trial and reach a peek speed of 35Gbps, which is fastest data speed made by the country’s new generation technology.

It is said that this trial is also a part of Huawei’s long term plan of fully deploying 5G network by 2020.

The trial used mmWave technology on 73GHz-band of E-band to test 5G capacity on high frequency band. It is paving the way for standardization of Singapore’s 5G high-frequency technology.

This trial was carried out with a Cat 14 prototype device, which contained 4 advanced mobile carrier technologies integrations.
