Nokia 100% acquires Alcatel-Lucent

Finland telecommunication giant Nokia said last Wednesday that they had finished acquisition of its competitor Alcatel-Lucent.
 
Nokia has once dominated the mobile phone market for over ten years (till 2012). It made a deal with Alcatel-Lucent to buy a part of stocks of them on April. 2015. After that, the biggest mobile provider has been acquiring the rest.
 
On January, 2016, Nokia owned 76% shares of Alcatel-Lucent. But the other shareholders prolong the public exchange offers, looking forward to sell in higher price.
 
Nokia published a statement, “The deal is finished today, and our company has wholly acquired Alcatel-Lucent’s circulating shares now, which means we can start removing the complexity and cost of operating two independent listed company at the same time.
 
Nokia is still losing money now. But after buying Alcatel-Lucent, its sales increased to 5.89 billion euros, nearly double of last year.
