CenturyLink finally prices its data center

It has long been rumored that CenturyLink was planning to sell its data center business in order to improve financial condition. Now, after publishing its plan to acquire Level 3, the company said those data center and management business would be sold to a group of investors in price of 2.15 billion dollars.
 
CenturyLink would get minor shares worth 1500 million dollars of the group’s global security infrastructure company.
 
In a recent statement, CenturyLink said there were 57 data center assets to be sold to the group, which includes BC Partners, Medina Capital Advisors and Longview Asset Management.
 
The deal is expected to close on 1st quarter of 2017.
 
The money will then be used in purchasing Level 3.
 
BC Partners and Medina Capital has said in a statement that the data center will be part of their future joint enterprise, which is going to come into being in 2017. It will focus on network security, data analysis and IT infrastructure.
