Ericsson taps Siemens to build smartway cloud platform

A union formed by Ericsson, Siemens and Simacans was recently reported to declare that it had won a contract of developing cloud platform and managing smart highway in the Netherlands.
The union named Fortgang won the contract from Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment and will develop the platform representing provincial government and country’s traffic organization that manages the roads.
Cars and vans equip this technology will send information pointing at pavement condition and get feedback of security issues.
The system is going to be introduced periodically, and finished by 2020.
