Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri stated in recent CTIA Super Mobility trade exhibition, small cell market was breaking out, and might create 6.7 billion dollars market in 2019 globally.

“Now it is a significant business for us,” Suri said, “And its increase speed is very fast. Densification is in sight, and it need small cell.”

Suri said he had predicted in 2012 that, small cell market would be breaking out in the second half of 2016, and it happened. Nokia predicted, all industries’ small cell market around the work will increase to 5.6 billion to 6.7 billion dollars in next three year. Suri said as well, Nokia was ready to occupy its share.

“We are cooperating with operators like Sprint and being the main vendor in the deal,” he added.

In fact, Sprint has said that they were co-working with Mobilities and other small cell deployment companies to deploy small cell on American urban areas’ 2.5GHz spectrum.

However, Sprint acknowledged they were facing difficulties of selecting address, approval and logistics, like how to receive small cell response.
