Huawei tapped Telefonica for 4.5G network

Spanish telecommunication operator Telefonica (German Branch) cooperated with Huawei for the first 4.5G technology trial network in Munich TechCity area, which means the graduate complete of 4.5G key technologies.
Telefonica expects to lead the Germany into age of gigabyte rate with 4.5G.
Telefonica declared that its 4.5G network trial went smoothly. It used 5 LTE channels carrier aggregation and high level MIMO, and got the peak transmission rate of 1.2Gbps in lab test.
In commercialized network, the transmission rate is 400Mbps now and it will be improve constantly.
Nowadays, mainstream vendors’ new generation flagship mobile phones are all installing VR components and 2K/4K screen, and mobile data flow requirement is increasing day by day in sequence. So the Spanish operator chose to upgrade its network, using the most advanced technology.
The latest technology will be firstly used in most needed place like train stations, airports, gyms and large-scale activities places. By far, the test network has covered north Munich, including Munich Olympics Stadium.
