Apr 03, 2018

Reported by media, minister of German digital infrastructure ministry Alexander Dobrindt states in Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) that, Germany is planning to be the first country to build a nationwide 5G network.

Dobrindt said in the report, 5G service is the only way to support self-driving vehicle, medical application and other new-born technologies with high bandwidth.

“We hope to make Germany the leading 5G market, and the first country covered by 5G network nationwide,” FAZ cites Dobrindt’s word.

According to German government’s plan, at least 20 largest cities will deploy 5G netword by 2025. They will make final decision before 2018.

As we know, 5G speed is 10 times of 4G service. And we can expect the appearance of a 5G country.
