In 2nd quarter of 2016, global GPON device market link relative ratio increased 13%, year-on-year increased 33% to 2.2 billion dollars. Making new record historically.

All regional markets had double digit increases. Asian-Pacific region, especially China’s deployment of FTTH is the main driving force. Nearly 90% FTTH activities of Asian-Pacific is in China.

Within GPON device market, 2Q16 OLT global sales income link relative ratio increased 40%, year-on-year increased 57% to 972 million dollars. And ONT global sales income link relative ratio decreased 2%, year-on-year increased19% to 1.24 billion dollars.

In term of sales income, the first three providers were Huawei, ZTE and Nokia who had purchased Alcatel-Lucent. These three companies’ four quarter (3Q15~2Q16) roll shares were 40%, 28% and 21%, and 2Q16 shares were 37%, 32% and 21%. Amount all GPON device vendors, Huawei and Nokia are the only two who have business in all regional markets.

In aspect of shipment, 2Q16 OLT shipments link relative ratio increased 44% to 2.2 million, over 87% was loaded to Asian-Pacific market. Since 2008, global OLT shipment had exceeded 21.3 million. 2Q16 ONT global shipments link relative ratio decreased 3% to 22.8 million, 84% was in Asian-Pacific region. Since 2008, global OLT shipment had exceeded 233 million.
