Apr 02, 2018

In recent days, AOI company, which is a lead internet data center, CATV and FTTH accessing product provider, rises its prediction of 3rd quarter of 2016 fiscal business.

AOI predicts its Q3 sales income to be between 63-65 million dollars, higher than 56-59 million before. The prediction of Non-GAAP gross profit rate is between 30.5%-32.0%, as same as before.

Non-GAAP net income will be 4.7-5.2 million dollars, higher than previous prediction of 2.9-3.8 million dollars. And non-GAAP diluted earnings per share based on 18 million shares will be 26-29 cents, higher than previous 16-21 cents prediction.

AOI president and CEO Dr. Thompson Lin said, “During 3rd quarter, clients’ demand for our data center products has accelerated, which exceeds our expectation. As a result, we rises our prediction to reflect that.”

Last month, AOI said they received the first order from a new large data center operator client. This unnamed client had ordered more than 10,000 40G QSFP+ and 100G QSFP28 optical modules. Some industry people says it is Facebook.
